April Felkins - Owner/Organizer

April moved to the Jacksonville/St Augustine area in the summer of 2018 from Northern Virginia and created First Coast Organizing to help individuals struggling with clutter, disorganization, grief, and life transitions.

Having been a Licensed Funeral Director for over 15 years, I hold a degree in Psychology as well a certification in Grief Management. I understand that clutter, whether physical or emotional, can prohibit one from living their best life and effect all areas of life, including relationships.

As a working mother of twin girls, one with special needs, I understand the challenges of maintaining a household and know the importance of having strong organized systems in place to help with household structure and routines for cohesiveness within the family. 

I am a proud member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing), and a Certified Home Organizer from ASPO (Association of Professional Organizers). I enjoy giving back to my community by being a proud business sponsor to our local elementary schools, local sports teams, as well as supporting various non-profit organizations dear to my heart.

Katie Manning - Lead Organizer

Katie is the mom of 2 active boys and was born and raised in Minnesota. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and worked as a seamstress for theatres in Minneapolis until she decided to stay home with her babies and her job became household manager and chaos wrangler! Katie understands how well organized systems in the home affect daily routines. In 2018, her family moved to the Jacksonville/Saint Augustine area to be near her husband’s family. Over the next 2 years, she moved several more times before settling in the St. John’s area. Katie fully understands the challenges of moving, downsizing, packing/unpacking, and managing all this with the normal schedules of life. 


Order and organization has always been a natural interest of Katie's. From arranging her Barbie house and doll clothes as a kid, to setting up a home as an adult, it has followed her throughout her stages of life. She has always, and still does, absolutely love creating functional and calm spaces to help homes feel like home.

With each time Katie moved, her skill set grew. She's become more efficient in her ability to declutter and make hard decisions. She's learned about great product and space maximization that can help her as she raises a family in a small, cozy home. Fitting much into little without foregoing a clean aesthetic is my passion.

Katie desires to use her experiences and gifts to come alongside people as they face transitional times in their life. Or, when they just need a helping hand to regain control over their home. Katie's years of experience and welcoming presence contribute well to the clients overall experience.

In her spare time, Katie loves to be with my family. Playing games, doing DIY house projects, attending church, and being creative together are some of our favorite things.
